It states: "Women outlive men, but they may not fare so well financially after the death of their spouse.” The article also has some good info and basic statistics. However the gist is that couples need to plan ahead with end-of-life financial preparation and final wishes. Women especially could benefit from advance planning. Even though it is not a pleasant conversation, it is a necessary one to have!
